1. Customer Information and Privacy Policy

In order to process your order, JKM requires the following information which is used solely to communicate with our customers and is not distributed or sold. This information is used by JKM to email questions/ comments on orders or to email our newsletters featuring new product additions to www.jkmribbon.com and other important JKM Ribbon & Trim information.

- Business or Personal Name
- Full Name as it appears on your credit card
- Billing Address of the credit card
- Shipping Address if different than the Billing Address
- If your billing address is a Post Office Box #, please provide a street
    address. UPS/FedEx will not deliver to a PO Box.
- Phone Number where you can be reached during the day
- Email address
- Credit Card Number, Expiration Date, 3 or 4 Digit Card Security Code (CVV2#)
- We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express
- Tax ID # if available

Our web site is secured by Thawte, one of the leading providers of web site security in the world. Your billing & shipping addresses, email and password and previous orders are stored for easy access and ordering the next time you shop. For your added protection, Credit Card information is NOT STORED on our shopping cart. It is only used to process the order you are placing in our secure section.

2. Shipping and Handling

JKM provides our customers with access to an extensive selection of RIBBON & TRIMS. JKM supplies hundreds of thousands of ribbons, trims and related products at wholesale prices and a $25 Minimum Order.

While we cannot stock every item and maintain wholesale prices, extensive selection and a $25 Minimum Order, we ship MOST ORDERS WITHIN 7-10 days even if you select various products from several different suppliers.

The TIME IT TAKES BEFORE WE ARE READY TO SHIP is VERY IMPORTANT and results from inventory fluctuations due to ribbon colors and widths, from allowing you access to a wide variety of ribbons & trims, and for JKM to "bunch" small orders to make large ones from dozens of suppliers.

GENERAL GUIDELINE for Manufacturers/Products before we are Ready to Ship not including ship time to your area from JKM's facility in New Jersey.

4 Weeks
Products by Wrights, Conso and Custom Ribbon & Trims made to order including Bulk Bias Tape, Bulk Rick Rack, Bulk Printing, Special Velvets, Fine Woven Ribbons and Ribbon Accessories and Specialty Fabrics Bolts and other specialty products.

We can EXPEDITE (ship within 4-6 days) selected products for orders over $150 if you state the urgency and date you need the order in the Order Comments at checkout and use expedited shipping. We will evaluate the TIME IT TAKES BEFORE WE ARE READY TO SHIP and send you an email confirmation on whether we can meet your timing. If you do not specify a date needed for expedited orders or any type order of any size, we will ship your order when the goods are available. This applies to orders which are on back order due to product not being available in the expected timeframe.

We will EMAIL, to the address on the order within 1 business day of order date, a confirmation which will include approximate timing when your order will be ready to ship. We will include the above shipment timing or any changes in timing. JKM can ship by UPS overnight, 2 day or 3 day ONLY AFTER your order is ready to ship.

JKM uses UPS (United Parcel Service) to ship almost all U.S. orders. Please select UPS GROUND, OVERNIGHT, 2 DAY OR 3 DAY Service. Residents of ALASKA, HAWAII or U.S. TERRITORIES, please select PRIORITY MAIL. JKM DOES NOT SHIP by PRIORITY MAIL to any other U.S. location and cannot process an order if Priority Mail is selected for any other U.S. location except Alaska, Hawaii or U.S. Territories. We can use your UPS account if this is noted in the Order Comment Box in the checkout process final page.

International Residents (outside the United States, Alaska, Hawaii or U.S. Territories) MUST SELECT EXPRESS MAIL INTERNATIONAL or PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL. We ship only by these methods to ensure proper order tracking. JKM is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any local duties and/or taxes. We DO NOT INCLUDE these in our shipping and handling costs. Shipping Time to your area starts the next day after JKM ships from New Jersey and approximate transit times are:
  3 - 6 BUSINESS DAYS using UPS Ground depending on your U.S. location.
  5 - 6 BUSINESS DAYS using Priority Mail to Alaska, Hawaii or U.S. Territories.
  7 - 10 BUSINESS DAYS for International Orders to most countries.

In the JKM order process, 3 emails are sent to the email address on the order. Please add jkmribbon.com to your address book to ensure proper email delivery.

First Email - sent immediately to you with a summary of the order.
Second Email - sent within 1 business day (excluding weekends and holidays) with the approximate timing before your order is ready to ship. If you do not receive this email within 1 business day, please immediately notify JKM by email. It is important you understand the timing required before we ship your order.
Third Email - sent when the order ships and includes tracking information. The tracking information can be found in your online account after we ship.

Please note that ALL JKM SALES ARE FINAL. An order can be cancelled by email or fax (no verbal cancellations are accepted) within 1 business day after you place the order and receive your email confirmation of timing. After 1 business day, the order will be processed and the order cannot be cancelled.

3. Shipping and Handling Rates

New Jersey residents will be charged 7% sales tax on all orders unless JKM has a copy of your ST3 or ST5 exempt form or Resale Certificate on file. Please Email JKM at customerservice@jkmribbon.com or Fax JKM at 856-767-7572 with this information.

Shipping and Handling Rates are based on your location relative to our facility in New Jersey and are subject to change. The shipping and handling charge will be shown during the checkout process after you select a shipment option. The shipment options are detailed in our Sales Policy section 2 - Shipping and Handling.

YOU MUST SELECT A SHIPPING OPTION TO CONTINUE THE CHECKOUT PROCESS. You MUST PICK a shipment option even if you want to use your own account. Use the Order Comment Box on the final page of the checkout process for any comments regarding your order including shipment options and the date required or any other comment. We will make any adjustments to your order and notify you in the email confirmation you will receive within 1 business day.

4. Order Status

JKM supplies hundreds of thousands of ribbons, trims and related products and at times there will be delays, stock outs and backorders of specific items. Please EMAIL JKM after you have waited the time frame including ship time to your area as stated on your order confirmation if you would like information on your order (customerservice@jkmribbon.com). We require an email with your order number and/or billing information to research your order question.

Due to the volume of orders across dozens of different manufacturers and the number of ribbons and trims we supply, we cannot provide an in advance follow-up service and continue to maintain wholesale prices and low minimum orders. Our web site is based on current product lines of our manufacturers which are adjusted daily. We only know of delayed or discontinued items when we receive our large shipment which includes your order.

If your order does not arrive in the timeframe expected and is on back order, we can only follow up when we receive a customer email inquiry which we will respond to within 1 business day.

For future orders, if you want to ensure 100% delivery in a specific timeframe then you must order over $150 of our products under our expedited order program detailed in Section 2. Shipping and Handling. We may be able to expedite your order by scheduling manufacturing to meet your delivery timing. We usually ship this type order in about 3-6 days.

5. Back Orders

Due to the extensive number of ribbons, trims and related products supplied by JKM, an ordered item may be on back order. JKM will ship the bulk of the order within the time detailed in section 3 of our Sales Policy and within approx. 2 - 3 weeks ship the back order with no additional freight charge. JKM will not be responsible for freight on back orders if a customer requests an immediate (within 2 days) partial shipment of an order which takes the usual 7-10 days or more before it can ship complete. In this case, JKM will charge the freight on the second shipment to complete the order.

Your invoice will indicate if an item is on back order. A zero will appear in the shipped column and a comment will be shown on the invoice. If any item has been discontinued, it will be noted on your invoice in the comment section. For more details on the status of your backorder, please review ORDER STATUS - section 4 of this policy.

6. Return Policy

All JKM SALES ARE FINAL. THIS INCLUDES RIBBON, TRIMS & ALL OTHER PRODUCTS ON OUR WEB SITE.

The colors of any ribbon, trim or other product on this web site compared to actual product may vary depending on computer hardware and software used to view the product, and ribbon dye lot variations. JKM is not responsible for colors not matching the intended use and does not accept returns on this basis.

If the ribbon, trim or other product is defective, please email JKM at customerservice@jkmribbon.com with details within 5 days of receipt of the product to obtain a defective product return authorization number. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT AN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER from JKM.

Our All Sales Final Policy is necessary to maintain low minimum orders at wholesale prices in support of our customer base. We do not make any exceptions because of the number of orders we process which would force us to raise prices and minimum orders to provide a return/exchange service. We hope you can appreciate the need for this policy.

Our customers can mix ribbons & trims from suppliers and order as needed to reduce inventory costs. We always explain delivery timing by email confirmation when we process your order. When we ship your order, we email you the tracking number for the shipment option you selected or you can access your online account for tracking information after we ship.
